Business Advisory Group to meet on 23 September as work to shape North Yorkshire’s economic future continues.
The new North Yorkshire Council Business Advisory Group will meet again on Wednesday 23rd September. The group brings together businesses from across the county to play an active role in shaping how the Council supports economic growth.
The group, which met for the first time at Harrogate Convention Centre in May, includes representatives from a wide range of sectors and locations, bringing together 50 businesses acting as both a sounding board and a strategic partner to the council to help guide future activity and ensure that policies and decisions reflect the real needs of the North Yorkshire business community. This valuable input will help inform the next phase of the Council’s economic and business strategies, with a focus on tackling key challenges, improving the business environment, and supporting business success.
The inaugural session was well attended, with discussions focusing on key issues facing local businesses, including workforce skills and apprenticeships, rising business costs and finance, and supply chain resilience. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive.
The group will next meet on 23rd September, with further updates to be shared as its priorities and areas of focus continue to develop.
